HNDL (pronounced “Handle”) is our innovative on-ice training program built around custom equipment developed in-house at CFA. With decades of experience in hockey skill development, we’ve created the most effective tools, drills, and techniques to teach and challenge today’s players.
The goal of HNDL sessions is to increase puck touches, improve puck possession, and play recognition in tight spaces. Training players to maneuver the puck in small areas while skating has proven to significantly enhance decision-making and accelerate skill development. And the best part it’s fun and engaging for players of all ages and skill levels.
Each piece of on-ice equipment comes with its own set of drills, but we always adapt sessions to fit the age and skill level of each player. Just like the rest of the CFA development model, HNDL continues to evolve, with new drills and progressions added to our curriculum every day.
